BOARD MEETING MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING
SEPTEMBER 22, 2014
The Carlisle Board of Education met in regular session on Monday, September 22, 2014 in the Choir/Lecture Room
located in Carlisle High School at 250 Jamaica Road, Carlisle, Ohio.
ROLL CALL
Board President David Clay called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with the following roll of attendance present:
Mr. Clay, Mrs. Tammy Lainhart, Mr. James Campbell, Mr. Bryan Dunkman, and Mr. Bill Jewell.
PLEDGE OF ALLIGIANCE
Mr. Clay asked those in attendance to stand with the Board for the Pledge of Allegiance.
STUDENT & PROGRAM RECOGNITION
Mr. Dan Turner and Mr. David Erwin spoke to the Board about the Learning.com program.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
(2014-107) It was moved by Mr. Campbell and seconded by Mr. Jewell to move into executive session for the
purpose of personnel.

TREASURER’S REPORT

Mr. Dan Bassler mentioned the OSBA Fall Regional Conference to be held Thursday, October 9, at the Warren
County Career Center

Kelly and Daniel Richards donated $1000.00 for a flag pole at the Carlisle football stadium
Fraternal Order of Police of the Warren County Lodge103 donated $300 to the Neediest Kids of All
Errol D. Butt Memorial Fund of the Warren County F.O.P. Lodge #103 donated $500 to the Neediest Kids of All
Neediest Kids of All donated $400 to Alden Brown
Fine Arts Department donated $50 to Carlisle Alumni Association

Mr. Larry Hook discussed a new graduation requirement for the Class of 2018, and the district report card.

(2014-112) It was moved by Mr. Dunkman and seconded by Mr. Campbell to approve Randie Bruns as preschool
aide, Dustin Venters as custodial substitute, as well as Lynda Murphy and Phyllis Hampton as classified substitutes.

drama club advisor, Kyle Schreiber as assistant #2 summer band, Kevin Schulz as JH wrestling coach, and Beverly
Daniel from study tables.

Sam Lee for 34% of CHS drama club advisor, Jenn Shively for 66% of CHS drama club advisor, and Natalie Erdy
as assistant #2 summer band.

(2014-116) It was moved by Mrs. Lainhart and seconded by Mr. Campbell to approve the vocal music department
trip for the high school girls’ and A Capella choirs to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, May 14-16, 2015, with
transportation by school bus and cost covered by fundraising.
