Harlem Stage Internship Opportunities
Spring 2016
Harlem Stage is a valuable resource for New York City, presenting a dynamic variety of programs in music, dance, film,
theater, and arts education programs which are rooted in and reflect the rich and diverse traditions of the Harlem
community. For over 30 years, Harlem Stage’s unique focus has been to identify visionary artists of color and support
them by commissioning, presenting – and increasingly in recent years – producing their vital work that responds to the
social and political conditions that shape our lives. This work has positioned Harlem Stage as a leader in the field. In
2006, Harlem Stage opened The Gatehouse, a newly restored NYC landmark building, expanding and enhancing its
commitment to innovative programming and the Harlem community.
