Rebecca Wyron, our newest Citizenship
Program instructor. Rebecca will be teaching our
Tuesday/Thursday class at the Jewish Community
Center starting this summer. Rebecca has been
volunteering at the Rockville Senior Center since
January and has ample experience volunteering
with Montgomery College’s Citizenship Program.

New Curriculum Training
During the first two weeks in June, Marie Elalem,
BCCC’s ESL Instructional Specialist will be conducting
two mandatory training sessions on how to use the
newly-redesigned Citizenship Curriculum. The first
training will be held in the Baltimore area (Reisterstown
Plaza Center) and the second will be in the suburban
Washington area. Each session will be approximately
two hours long. If you haven’t contacted Gail about
availability, please do so as soon as possible.

Immigration Services
Ouranitsa Abbas, the Pro Bono Coordinator for
Immigration Legal Services, is organizing monthly
naturalization clinics in Baltimore for clients to
come and meet with volunteer attorneys to
review eligibility for naturalization and fill out the
immigration paperwork at a low cost ($50-$150
plus filing fees).
