General Competition Details
The BPS Gymnastics Invitational will cater to both MAG and WAG gymnasts.
WAG NDP: Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Development Program 209-2012 version
1.1 released January, 2010.
MAG NDP: Men’s Artistic Gymnastics National Program 2009-2012 version 1 (January 2009)
MAG and WAG Technical Judges are provided by the Thailand Gymnastics Association
The meet is currently scheduled to take place over two days with all Girls Competition
occurring on Saturday, October 13th, 2012; Level 1 in the first session, Level 2 in the second
session, and Level 3, 4, and 5 in the 3rd session. Boys Competition will occur on Sunday
morning, October 14th, 2012. Depending on the number and size of teams, this may be
adjusted so all competition occurs on Saturday, October 13th, 2012. Rotations and
schedules will be finalized no later than October 5th, 2012, and sent to participating schools.
School team registrations must be returned to Bangkok Patana no later than Friday,
September 28th, 2012.
BPS Gymnastics Competition Divisions and Format
Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (Age on August 1st, 2012)
The boys are competing at Men’s Artistic Gymnastics levels: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 on six different
apparatus (floor, rings, pommels, vault, parallel bars, and high bar). A team must consist of
a minimum of three and no more than six gymnasts. Gymnasts can be entered as
individuals if the school hasn’t enough gymnasts to form a team.
The start values will vary depending on bonus skills and the difficulty of the routine. Start
value is out of 10.0 or 10.5 depending on bonus for each apparatus.

Awards will be presented in the MAG competitions in the following categories:

Ribbons on individual apparatus (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)
Team medals per age group and level (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
(The team score is calculated by adding up the top three team scores of each apparatus)
Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (Age on August 1st, 2012)
The girls are competing at Woman’s Artistic levels: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on four different apparatus
(vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor). A team must consist of a minimum of three
and no more than six gymnasts. Gymnasts can b entered as individuals if the school hasn’t
enough gymnasts to form a team.
WAG have the choice of one routine with a start value of 5.00 on each apparatus:
D score = 5.0, E score = 10.00
D+E = Final Score
Music
Music is compulsory for WAG NDP level 2 and upwards on the floor apparatus. WAG NDP
level 1 does not require music for their routines. Schools need to label CD’s that are used
for the floor routines. If there are any technical problems with the music during the
performance of the floor routine, the gymnast needs to continue as normal and will be
given a chance to redo her routine. In this case, the best score will count.

For Level 4 and 5 there will be no capping on bonus. Please also be aware of the additional
bonus encouragement skills for these levels as listed below:

Information for Coaches:
-
Two coaches per team per apparatus are permitted on the competition floor.
Gymnasts have to be accompanied by and registered by a qualified coach.
Music for the girls floor routines has to be on CD (please hand this in on the competition
day)
Coaches have to wear identical club attire on the competition floor.
Gymnasts have to assemble 10 minutes prior to the march-in time at the designated
assembly area .
F.I.G. Code of Points and Australian Levels Programme (with amendments) will be used.
The host school has the right to move any gymnast found competing in the wrong age
group.
