JOB VACANCY Tours & Museum Manager Permanent Salary dependent on skills and experience Lord’s Ground, the most famous cricket ground in the world, and generally known as the ‘Home of Cricket’ is the home of the Marylebone Cricket Club (“the Club”). Tours of Lord's give visitors the opportunity to go behind the scenes at MCC's historic ground, where they can see many of the most famous sights in world cricket. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Tours & Museum Manager to run the Lord’s Tour programme. The Manager will promote and review the commercial potential of both the Museum and Tours with a view to recommending and implementing ideas to enhance the customer experience. In addition, there will be opportunities to commence project work in 2015. The Manager will also assume responsibility for the daily operations of the Museum and Tours staff to include the management, resourcing and development, where appropriate, of the Tours Office Staff, both permanent and casual. This will include carrying out performance reviews and setting individual objectives aligned to departmental and business needs. Additional key duties include assisting with the annual budgeting and forecasting process and attending and making presentations at committee meetings. Required skills and experience The successful candidate will be customer focussed with a strong track record of leading, managing and developing staff as well as proven experience of budgeting and financial planning. Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are also essential, as he or she will be interacting with a diverse range of people, both internally across the Club and externally. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is also essential, along with the ability to prioritise and organise workloads. Significant flexibility is required, especially during the cricket season, for working extended hours during the week and also during weekends and public holidays.
