Good pace, fab resources, not stressful!” LEARN Computer Science: Supporting Curriculum Delivery This programme of 7 twilight sessions will be held at Thornden School and will run from September 2015 to March 2016. About the Trainer: Dan Gardner is Team Leader for ICT & Computing at Perins School (a member of the LEARN Alliance). He has been delivering GCSE Computing at Perins since 2011, and was appointed as a Master Teacher by Computing At School in 2012. Before training as a teacher Dan worked as an IT Specialist for IBM Global Services. Overview: Objectives: This unique programme is aimed at teachers who are new to teaching GCSE Computing or who would like to develop their skills in this important area. In addition to resources and ideas for teaching Computing theory topics, this course will offer the chance for teachers to have regular and sustained input to develop their computer programming skills with other teachers. This programme enables colleagues to: Sessions will be split between reinforcing theoretical knowledge and developing practical programming skills.
