Teacher of Music – 0.6 FTE MPS Required for September 2016 This is an opportunity for a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to join our oversubscribed 11 – 18 grammar school which will have 500 girls on roll, including 140 Sixth Form students. The school is situated in the busy market town of Newport, eight miles from the centre of Telford. Newport is also in commuting distance of Stafford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and north Birmingham. Music plays a significant part in the School and we showcase music of an extremely high quality through concerts and performances both in and outside School. We are seeking to appoint a committed, dynamic and enthusiastic subject leader for music who would work with our faculty structure to deliver the music curriculum to all pupils in Years 7 to 9 and possibly small option groups at GCSE and A level. The applicant would also deliver a range of extra-curricular music activities and support and develop peripatetic music provision and the use of the recording studio and music technology.
