Tomorrow, Today Exhibition of Innovation in Agriculture
Green Pavilion - 2015 Royal Welsh Show – 20-23 July
Information and eligibility criteria
Background
The need for new research, technology and innovation in agriculture and for the
dissemination of this information to the industry has never been greater. The Foresight Report
(2010) highlights the challenges to the global food production system that the first half of the
21st century will bring. The report identifies that these challenges cannot be addressed by
the continuation of existing approaches to increasing food production alone. There is also a
need to produce more whilst improving the sustainability of production techniques. These
new challenges must be met through the development of new technologies and their
application to agriculture.
Following the success of the Tomorrow, Today exhibition of innovation in agriculture, which is
now a regular feature at the Royal Welsh Show, Farming Connect are now launching the
search for new innovations to be showcased at the 2015 show.
The exhibition, which is run in partnership between the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society and
the Welsh Government Farming Connect Programme aims to promote and encourage
innovation in the UK agriculture industry and transfer new technologies and the latest
research to a grass roots level.
