MATERIALS LIST
and a note from Vera
The Arts Depot is supplying the “Deli Paper” you need the following:
ACRYLIC PAINTS...this is one time that cheaper paints are fine...craft paints such
as FolkArt or Martha Stewart are great. (Avoid My Studio and JoAnne store
brand...too weak.)
White.....lots...or white gesso
Black
Cool Red-such as quinacridone or Alizarin crimson, or Magenta etc
Warm Red- Cad red lt., Naphthol red, or permanent Red.....any orangy toned red
Cool Yellow, Lemon, or Zinc, or Cad yellow Lt
Warm Yellow... Cad Yellow Md., or Azo Yellow
Cobalt Blue
Raw Umber
Thalo Blue
Acrylic gel **** either gloss or matt
Thalo Green
TOOLS
Foam Rollers...get a good quality house painting trim roller that has replacement
rollers.
Its worth the $6 price tag.
cheap cosmetic sponges
palette. I use disposable pad, but freezer paper works well
masking tape, paper towels, water container
Stencils, rubber stamps, textured cardboards, plastics, etc
A note from Vera:
I use pre-mixed paints for making collage papers. The craft acrylics come in a wide
range of colors, so buy your favorites when they go on sale. Folk Art, Martha
Stewart, Ceram-coat are all good.
IF you want to use the cheaper craft paints instead of more expensive Golden and
Nova, that’s fine. Just have the same general color range as listed above.
We will spend the first day making a stack of collage papers.
After making the collage papers, you will want to apply them.
Bring:
old watercolor or acrylic paintings. We can give them new life with the energy of
collage patterns.
OR bring fresh small canvases and we will make collage paintings.
