Objective: Create a collage of images, words, art representing the 1920s in America.
You can use resources from the internet, magazines, newspapers, or draw them. I would highly
suggest researching collage ideas on the internet, utilizing sites such as Pinterest to get your creative
juices flowing!
The collage is to be made on a 12” X 12” piece of paper (scrapbook). Paper can be obtained from Mrs.
Dengel.
Requirements:
• Project is due at the beginning of your assigned class period on Dec. 3, 2013. 5 Points will be
deducted for each day the project is turned in past the due date.
• Collage includes a minimum of 10 images, words not included. A true mixed media collage will
use more than 10 images.
• Clearly label your name and class period on the back of the collage.
• Include a title to your project this can be on the front or back.
• Use a 12” X 12” piece of paper.
• Work must be neat and clearly depict an aspect of the 1920s in America. You are not expected to
summarize the entire decade in a single collage, you can choose to focus on one particular area, i.e.:
jazz, theater, architecture. Spend time researching your topic for additional ideas related to the era.
The artwork may not extend beyond the border of the paper.
