Roma Prime Sale Summary Report August 14, 2014
A total yarding of 748 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on
Thursday. Steers over 550kg sold to 186c/kg and averaged 169c/kg, while steers in
the 400-550kg earned to 173c/kg and averaged 151c/kg.
Heifers over 450kg sold to 165c/kg and averaged 159c/kg, while heifers in the 350450kg sold to 153c/kg and averaged 125c/kg. Cows over 500kg peaked at 153c/kg
and averaged 142c/kg, while cows in the 400-500kg class topped at 165c/kg and
averaged 129c/kg. Cows 300-400kg sold to 118c/kg and averaged 101c/kg. Bulls
over 600kg topped at 187c/kg and averaged 167c/kg.
