A large yarding of 1582 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on
Thursday.
Steers over 550kg sold to 177c/kg and averaged 156c/kg, while steers in the
400-550kg earned to 186c/kg and averaged 157c/kg.
Heifers over 450kg sold to 156c/kg and averaged 143c/kg, while heifers in the
350-450kg sold to 148c/kg and averaged 115c/kg.
Cows over 500kg peaked at 149c/kg and averaged 128c/kg, while cows in the
400-500kg class topped at 131c/kg and averaged 98c/kg. Cows 300-400kg sold
to 107c/kg and averaged 71c/kg.
Bulls over 600kg topped at 157c/kg and averaged 140c/kg.
