Refugee Crisis - what can Churches do?
Simon Dwight from the Kings Arms Project has told us about
the opportunity that we have in Bedford to serve and provide
for families of Syrian refugees coming to our town over the
next few years.
Kings Arms have set up a Facebook page which you can find
here https://www.facebook.com/refugeeappeal
The project is looking for any who may have properties
to rent, furniture and equipment for unfurnished
properties, resources for welcome packs for arriving
families of refugees, people with DIY skills and those
willing to do cleaning on properties at short notice to
make homes for refugees pleasant to enter into.
If you can offer help in any way, they will be setting up
an email notification list for when action is needed.

Crafters
All good things must come to an end, and it is with
some regret that Cranfield Methodist Church are
announcing that the Craft Group – Cranfield Crafters held on Monday evenings during term-time has now
closed. A ‘new’ Cranfield Crafters will be run at the
Methodist Church on alternate Friday afternoons from
13.30pm to 15.00pm.
The first meeting will be on 8th January 2015 with
an opportunity to make
Dea greetings card and to
help decide some of £84.50
the crafts that we might try in
theDe
future.
As things stand at the£84.50
moment we are unable to offer
a crèche facility, but would not want to stop anyone with
small children coming along. We would just say that
you will have to be responsible for your own little ones.
