WINTER FAIR FUN
A massive thank you to all those parents and children
that attended the Winter Fair on Tuesday afternoon.
There was a massive turn out for the day which was
great to see everyone showing their support to school.
There were lots of fun family games including chocolate
tombola, hook a duck, pin the nose on Rudolph and
lots of fun was had by all who came. Thank you to all
those who sent chocolate donations in for the tombola.
Attendance
A massive well-done to 6 Elm
who achieved 100%
attendance last week!
Let’s have one last push in the
last week of term to end the
term on a high!
Who will be next to take home
Lenny the Lion and Martha
Monkey certificates?
Remember our attendance
target for this year is 96%
Well done to Ben Lyons in 5 Elm for guessing the weight
of the cake, and Romina Kabinia in 2 Beech who won
the Christmas colouring competition.

WINTER CONCERTS
Your child has been sent home with their tickets for their
performances next week today. The stage is up and
ready for the children to show off all they have been
rehearsing. Please make sure you bring the tickets with
you for the performance named on the front. We are
sure you will enjoy the shows and all the children have
enjoyed learning their songs together.
@StanleyGrovePA …a great
way to keep up to date with
all the latest news on
information on school life
WISH TREE FUN!
Last week was National Tree Dressing Week, where we are
encouraged to celebrate trees in our environment by
decorating them. Pupils created two ‘wish-trees’ in the
playground where they wrote individual wishes and hopes on
ribbons, which were then tied on to the branches. Each class
was then asked to make a group wish, which was written on
a leaf. The inspiration for the trees was a story titled ‘Olive
and Rose’s Magic Leaf’. It is a story about friendship and
hope when we most need it. Come and read the children’s
wishes, some are funny, some are touching, but all are
hopeful-enjoy!
SPRINGFIELD GETS A MAKEOVER!
Just a Few Reminders……….
Please make sure you hand your
child’s dinner money in to the office in
an envelope on Monday 16th
December at the start of school. Due
to the end of term being next Friday
20th December, the cut off for dinner
money is this Monday. Any money that
is brought in after this time will not then
be accepted until the start of January
term.
Pupils from Year 1 and 2, have succeeded in their mission to
brighten up our Springfield building. The outside has always
looked rather dull and didn’t match all the fun learning and
all our bright pupils who are learning inside. They worked with
our Creative Lead, Miss Martin, to make colourful wooden
cutouts to run alongside the building. Well done to our young
artists!
There has been a recent increase in
appointments during school hours.
Please make sure where at all possible
you take your children to medical
appointments outside of school hours.
Please always inform the office, as well
as your class teacher, of any
appointments your child has booked if
they need to be during school time.
Just a reminder that holidays during term time are not allowed.
If you take your child out of school, you are liable for a penalty
notice from the City Council. This is £120 to be paid within 28
days, reduced to £60 if paid within 21 days
