There will be 10 lanes for the 10-U and 11-14 sessions and 8 lanes with one warm down lane for Friday and both Senior sessions. The depth is 13.5 FT at the start end, and 3.5 Ft at the turn end. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2(c)4. Colorado Timing System. Open pool deck areas available for swimmers, coaches and officials only. Disabled spectator accessibility, ample parking, seating for 500 spectators, snack bar. Use of audio or visual recording device, including cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing in or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. Shaving is not permitted anywhere in the facility. All swimmers entered in the competition must comply with current USA Swimming rules regarding swimwear. Only coaches, swimmers and working volunteers will be permitted on the pool deck. RULES: Current US Swimming, Inc. and Oregon Swimming, Inc. rules will govern this meet. MEET LIMIT: ENTRY DEADLINE: 10&U – First swimmers whereby timeline maintains 2 hour limit each morning session. 11–14 – First swimmers whereby timeline maintains 4 hour limit each session. Senior – First swimmers whereby timeline maintains 3 hour limit each session. Entries may be submitted starting Friday March 29th, 2013 and must be received by 5:00 P.M. Wednesday April 24th, 2013. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing racing starts or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. If you wish to enter a 14&U swimmer, please contact the Meet Director. CHECK IN: NO COACH PRESENT: Friday’s events will be deck seeded. 11-14 Sessions: 400 IM and 400 Free will be deck seeded. Senior Sessions: 400 IM and 400 Free will be deck seeded. Positive check-in (to be done by the coaches) is due 30 minutes after the start of warm-ups at the Clerk of Course. OSI scratch rules will be in effect. For unattached swimmers, or swimmers whose coach is not attending the meet, it is the swimmer’s responsibility to arrange for a certified coach to be responsible for the swimmer. This must be done BEFORE the swimmer may enter the water for warm-ups or competition. Please see the Meet Director or the Meet Referee if assistance is needed, upon arrival at the meet. BULL PEN: A bullpen will be provided for all 8&U swimmers. All other swimmers shall report directly to their assigned lanes. AWARDS: 10-U and 11-14 sessions: 1st-10th place ribbons. 11-14 events will be awarded 11-12, and 13-14. Friday events and Senior sessions 1st-8th place ribbons. 12-U 400 Free on Friday will be awarded 10-U and 11-12. All awards must be picked up at the conclusion of the competition. They will not be mailed. MEETINGS: Coaches meeting may be held 15 minutes prior to start of each session. Officials meeting will be held 45 minutes prior to the start of each session. OFFICIALS: We always appreciate the help of Certified Officials and Electronic Timers from other clubs. If you will be attending this meet please notify Shubin Zhao at officials@thunderboltswimming.org so your name can be added to the schedule. An official’s hospitality room will be provided. TIMERS: Timing assignments will be listed by session in heat sheet and will be based on the number of swimmers attending each session. Each club will designate a timing representative to report to the Head Timer thirty minutes prior to the start of each session. Competitors in Friday 800/1500 freestyle events are required to supply 3 timers and a lap counter (if desired) for their swim. Notice: This meet may be covered by the media, including photographs, video, web casting and other forms of obtaining images of athletes participating in the meet.
