Objections: (1) Jockey Erik Barbaran aboard #4 Rich’s Spitfire claimed foul against #5 Blessed Time ridden by Joseph Buchanan for interference in the stretch inside the 1/16 th pole causing Jockey Barbaran to check his horse. Jockey Ivan Sabol aboard #3 Gato Bait claimed foul against #1 Pleasant Mystery ridden by Jean Claude Medina and #2 Body By Gaff ridden by Chelsey Keiser for interference entering the first turn. The Stewards reviewed the race replay video from the pan and headon cameras, spoke to the jockeys and made the decision that there was no interference of any consequence in the first turn, and that the alleged interference in the stretch was not caused by the #5 Blessed Time nor would it have affected the outcome of the race. No action taken. MGC Rule 4.11(6)(e)3. Maintaining a Straight Course a. When the way is clear in a race, a horse may be ridden to any part of the course, but if any horse swerves, or is ridden to either side, so as to interfere with, impede or intimidate any other horse, it is a foul. b. The offending horse may be disqualified, if in the opinion of the stewards, the foul altered the finish of the race, regardless of whether the foul was accidental, willful or the result of careless riding.
