NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION
2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR
TO ENROLL NEW STUDENTS, the following items will be necessary to complete enrollment:
 up-to-date immunization record
 proof of residency
 birth certificate
 pertinent custody or guardianship agreements
 social security number
ELEMENTARY STUDENTS, PK-4th Grades
Registration
Registration will be held on August 5 and August 6, at Dogwood PK-2, Hawthorn 3-4, and Hurricane Deck PK-4.
Osage Beach PK-4 will hold registration on August 3, 4 and 5. Schools will enroll from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Student class assignments will be posted at all elementary schools on Wednesday, August 12, after 3:00 p.m.
Students and/or parents are welcome to come by the school to find out who their teacher is for the new school year.
Student assignments will not be given over the telephone.
Meet the Teacher Night
Dogwood Elementary will host a Meet the Teacher night on Friday, August 14, from 4:30–7:30 p.m. The
Transportation Department will be available for questions at Dogwood Elementary during Meet the Teacher night.
Hawthorn Elementary will host a Meet the Teacher night on Thursday, August 13, from 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Hurricane Deck Elementary School will host a Meet the Teacher night on Monday, August 17, from 4:30 – 6:30
p.m. The Transportation Department will be available for questions at Hurricane Deck Elementary during Meet the
Teacher night.
Osage Beach Elementary School will host a Meet the Teacher night on Friday, August 14, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
The Transportation Department will be available for questions at Osage Beach Elementary during Meet the Teacher
night.
OAK RIDGE INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL, 5th & 6th Grades
New Student Enrollment: Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4, at ORI from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Student class assignments will be posted at all elementary schools on Wednesday, August 12, after 3:00 p.m. Students
and/or parents are welcome to come by the school to find out who their teacher is for the new school year. Student
assignments will not be given over the telephone.
Meet the Teacher Night: Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Students will be allowed to tour the building and meet their teachers. During Meet the Teacher night, all 5th grade
students and any students new to the Camdenton R-III District should attend the Student Orientation Session. The
Transportation Department will be available for questions at Oak Ridge Intermediate during Meet the Teacher night from
4:30-6:00.
5th Grade and New Student Orientation Session: Thur., Aug. 13, from 5:45 – 6:15 p.m., in the gymnasium
Meet the Team Information Session: Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Parents and students will practice transitioning from class to class on a shortened schedule meeting ALL of their
teachers. This will be an opportunity for parents/students to receive information on classroom procedures and
expectations for each of the four teachers on your child’s team.
CAMDENTON MIDDLE SCHOOL, 7th & 8th Grades
The guidance department at Camdenton Middle School will be available to enroll all students who are new to the
Camdenton R-III School District on the following dates and times:
New Student Enrollment Sessions – August 3 - 7 & August 10 – 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Camdenton Middle School will host a Meet the Teacher night on Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30
p.m. All 7th and 8th grade students should attend with their custodial parent or court-appointed guardian. All students
will receive their schedules and locker assignments on Meet the Teacher night. Students will also be allowed to tour the
middle school and meet their teachers. During Meet the Teacher night, all 7th grade students and any students who are
new to the Camdenton R-III School District should attend the Student Orientation Session.
7th Grade and New Student Orientation Session, August 13, 4:30–5:30 p.m., Middle School Gym
CAMDENTON HIGH SCHOOL, 9th – 12th Grades
New students wishing to enroll in the High School will be able to pick up enrollment forms at the High School
Guidance Office starting July 28 and schedule an appointment to finalize their enrollment and class schedule. For more

Freshman Parent Meeting

Freshman “Mock Schedule”
Lunch will be provided for freshman students, beginning at 12:00 noon.
Following lunch, students will receive their course schedules and will attend
all their classes during a shortened schedule.

HORIZONS LAKER EDUCATIONAL CENTER
Current Horizons students returning next year must call (346-6336) beginning August 4 through August 10 for an
appointment, unless you have already set one up, to re-enroll at Horizons for the 2015-2016 school year. Both student
and parent/guardian must come to the appointment to re-enroll. This is only for students who attended Horizons for
the 2014-15 school year.
Horizons’ classes will begin August 18, with an Open House on August 13 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Please note that
Horizons Laker Educational Center starts the same day as all Camdenton R-III schools.
