LADIES INVITATION TRIPLES COMPETITION
SUNDAY 19th July 2015
Canterbury Bowling Club would like to invite you to enter a team for the above competition. This
Competition is sponsored by Motorline Skoda and Woollard & Kent, Funeral Services
All games will be played under the laws of Bowls England as amended by the Tournament Rules
and Conditions.
All competitors shall report to the Tournament Secretary at least 20 minutes before they are due to
play their first game. Failure to do so will lead to that team being replaced by a reserve team.
Should no reserve team be available the game will be awarded to their opponents. Failure to be
present and ready to play at the commencement of any games subsequent to their first shall result in
that game being awarded to the opponents.
Tournament to be run on a round robin basis – no play off – each entry to play three games.
Each game to be of one hour and 15 minutes duration. One shot on first end of first game only.
No visits to the head and no restrictions on number of ends played in that time.
Warning bell rung five minutes before time ends and provided that the Jack has been centred the
end can be played.
Dress Whites – SANDALS MAY NOT BE WORN unless for medical reasons.
Placings to be decided on number of points won – WIN: 3 POINTS - a DRAW: 1 point
In the event of a bye the Team will be awarded 3 points, 5 ends won and 5 shots.
If after three games, two or more teams have an equal number of points, the number of ends won
will be taken into consideration. Finally, if necessary, shot difference will decide.
First and Second places are for the Cup and Plate. There is also a third place with cash prizes for
all three places. 1st prize £70 pp 2nd prize £40 pp 3rd prize £25 pp .
Entrance Fee is £10.50p per team and the closing date for entry is 20th June 2015
The Club does have a wheelchair for use of competitors.
Competitors are respectfully requested not to smoke on the green. and to purchase all drinks from
the bar.
