Meet General HS Diploma
Requirements: Requirements including
participation in End of Course
Exams and the GA Writing
Assessment, as well as completion
of HS credits in Academic and
CTAE/Fine Arts courses where
students meet the academic
standards for these courses.
Diploma: *Regular/Access
Acquire 23 Academic Access (or
equivalent) and CTAE course
credits, participate in 8th grade
Georgia Alternate Assessment
(GAA), pass the GAA in 11th
grade and graduate at the age
of 22 or if under age 22,
graduate with confirmed
employment and support
services.
Diploma: *Transition Diploma
Student meets eligibility for
the HS GAA but did not
participate in the 8th grade
GAA (these students have the
opportunity to appeal to the
state to request the Regular
Access Diploma)
OR
Student does not meet
GAA/Access Requirements as
determined by state guidelines
but is participating in a
modified curriculum. Student
must agree to requirements on
