Holiday Parade Info.- 2015

PURCHASED ONE… PLEASE CALL OR SEE THE FRONT DESK ON MONDAY! WE ARE STILL TAKING ORDERS!
DANCERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THEESE (as was stated in the fair parade letter sent via email & available online)
SANTA HATS ARE $11.77 with tax & ANTLERS ARE $6.42 with tax.
Dear Parents and Dancers,
We will be participating in the 36th annual Rincon Holiday Parade. The parade is Saturday November 21st.
Dancers need to be at McCumber ballpark promptly at 9:00 a.m. Look for our pink, black, and silver
floats! The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. The parade will start from McCumber ball park and end at 9th street.
Here we will take a right and wrap around, ending at First Baptist Church. Dancers may be picked up in the
playground area at First Baptist Church of Rincon. Dancers need to be picked up directly after the
parade. If your dancer is dancing in the parade, you can park towards the end of the parade route (close
to First Baptist Church of Rincon) after they have been dropped off at McCumber (line up). This will
make picking up your dancer easier. All Mommy & Me, Pre-K, Tiny classes (ages 2-6 years old), must
have one parent to ride on the float with them, wearing a black or white shirt. We are asking that no
other siblings ride due to limited space on our two floats. All other dance classes (Mini & up -ages 7 & up)
will be dancing in the parade. Parents are not allowed to walk in the parade; we promise we will take good care
of them.
 Our little dancers ages 2-6 years old (Mommy & Me, Pre-K, & Tiny) are to wear their Black BDC
Parade Shirt with black dance shorts (fitted athletic shorts) & nude tights, or thick black leggings.
*Hairstyle: two high ponytails (one on each side of head) & wear clip in Reindeer Antlers* If your
dancers’ hair is short, please wear your hair out of your face (ex. half up and half down).
 All other Dancers 7 & older (Mini & up classes) & ALL ELITE COMPANY DANCERS will wear
their Black BDC Parade Shirt with black dance shorts (fitted athletic shorts) & nude tights, or
thick black leggings. *Hairstyle: Pull half up & leave half down & wear Santa hat* (Please make
sure to bobby pin Santa hat on, or secure with an elastic stretch headband around the outside of
the hat/under the fur trim…so it does not fall off while dancing)
 VERY IMPORTANT INFO:
ALL DANCERS will need to wear a solid black shoe of some sort (ex: Hip-Hop, Jazz, combat
boots, ballet flats, ugg style boots, or sneakers) If your dancer is riding the float they are not
required to wear black shoes. Dancers may also wear rhinestone stud earrings, if they wear
jewelry. (Please, no other items are to be worn). Please have hair sprayed & secure in the correct
hairstyle (If the required hairstyle allows rubber bands to be shown, use hair colored or clear
rubber bands, or/& you can take a small piece of hair from the ponytail, wrap around the rubber
band & secure with a bobby pin). I know we will look great this year and for the years to come!
Please Note: If it is cold, you may wear black legwarmers (over your tights) or black leggings (quick
tip: if you layer leggings over tights…you will be much warmer), black turtle neck or athletic body
armor (under your shirt- Body armor is thinner and seems to look better under the shirt can be
found at sports stores or Wal-Mart), black gloves, & black scarfs.
If anyone ordered Santa hats & Antlers, they will be given out at the parade. Ages 2-6 will wear antlers &
ages 7 & up will wear Santa hats (please bring bobby pins or/& an elastic stretch headband to secure the
hat, so that it does not fall off while dancing).

Directions To McCumber Ballpark From BDC
Take a right out of BDC, onto Hwy. 21.
Promptly turn left at the light, & then left at the following light.
Follow Hwy. 21 (you will pass the Rincon Wal-Mart)
Take a right onto Fourth Street beside Rincon Elementary.
Go about 3 blocks and take a left onto Lexington Rd.
Stay on Lexington and about ½ mile down you will see McCumber ballpark to your right.
Look for our pink, black and silver floats!
Monthly Reminder- November & December (BDC follows the Effingham County School System schedule).
 BDC is closed on Monday, November 23rd- Friday, November 27th due to Thanksgiving
Break. We will reopen on Monday, November 30th!
 BDC will also be closed on December 21st-January 1st for Christmas Break. We will reopen on
Monday, January 4th!
 Costume Fees (recreational dancers) are due by Monday, December 7th in order to assure
your costume arrival for the Pictures & the Recital in May. (The costume due date was set
for the first week in November, according to your enrollment info & take home sheet, but
we decided to extend it until December. Invoices with exact amounts will be available at the
front desk & emailed. An estimated cost was stated in your enrollment form & info take
home sheet). Costumes ordered late, are not assured to come in for the May recital, if we are
able to add the costume to the order, there will be a late fee of $30 (rush fee) per costume.
 Please mark your calendars: The date is set for Saturday, May 28th Rehearsal (estimated
time: 10:00 am-1:00 pm) & Sunday, May 29th (BDC Live! 2016 Recital- 5:00 pm).
 Please remember that Monthly dance tuition is due by or on the 1st of each month! Payments
after this will have a $10 late fee, if not paid by the last dance class of the month, late fees go up
to $20. THIS ALSO APPLIES TO DECEMBER TUITION! PLEASE MAKE SURE
THAT YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE WITH BDC IS ZERO, BEFORE THE STUDIO
CLOSES FOR THE HOLIDAYS. ALL DANCERS MUST HAVE A ZERO ACCOUNT
BALANCE WITH BDC, IN ORDER FOR THEIR COSTUME/COSTUMES TO BE
ORDERED (EVEN IF YOU HAVE PAID THE COSTUME FEE).
 If anyone knows of anyone that is interested in enrolling at BDC, we are still excepting dancers
in a few select classes. These classes will fill quickly and once they are full, will be closed out
for the season.
