I hope you had an opportunity to hear about your child(ren) progress at school and have a look through their work. Children in Need – last Friday was delightful – there were some hilarious costumes and hair styles and, as always, the children and adults made the day full of fun whilst raising money for Children in Need. Those cakes were delicious too! We are not yet sure of the total but will let you know once all the pennies and pounds have been counted. Thank you for your support. Anti-Bullying Week 19th – 23rd November - We are supporting this very important initiative by selling a great leaflet “Say No to Bullying”. This is packed with useful information for you and your child. They are available for £1.00 from the school office. For more information please visit http://www.antibullyingweek.co.uk/ Pantomime Tickets - are now available for collection from the school office – “Oh no they’re not!” You will need to sign for them before collection. This is likely to be a busy time at the school office window so please be patient. Thank you. One Off Book Fair on Friday, 23rd November in the school hall from 3.15 – 4.00 pm for the Travelling Bookfair. The school will raise 100% commission on whatever we sell. Please come along to choose some lovely books – great ideas for Christmas presents. This is a different company to the Scholastic Book Fair. School Photographs – these have been delivered and will be sent home with your child during the next couple of days. Nursery are asking for any plastic scoops from formula milk to be donated to them to use for scooping sand, water and other materials. PARKING We continue to have issues related to parking outside the school. May I remind you that the ONLY parents who are entitled to park out there are those with a disabled badge. For the safety of all our children NO OTHER families are to park there. We have tried many approaches to ensure this area is kept clear. Thank you to the vast majority of parents who respect this. Unfortunately there are a small number of families who continue to disregard our children’s safety. I have therefore made the decision to publish the registration numbers of people who are parking inappropriately. This information will be stored and shared with Northamptonshire Police. I sincerely hope that we can tackle this issue successfully within school and am happy to discuss the matter further with any individuals, or refer parents on to discuss this with one of our Governors. Just last week, someone saw a parent dropping off a Nursery school child outside the school gate and then drive to the Co-Op to park his car. This is almost unbelievable but it certainly raises my levels of concern for the safety of the children. PLEASE ensure your child arrives at school safely with sufficient supervision until they are safely within the school gates.
