Announcements:
There will be a meeting for next year's AP Biology students Thursday, May 21 at
lunch in room 62 to discuss summer assignments. Please see Ms Rader BEFORE that
date if you cannot attend the meeting. (Rader)
Cultural Exchange is holding elections for board members this Friday, May 22nd at
lunch. Pick up applications in Ms. Antony’s room, 63, forms are due on the day of
elections. This is a mandatory meeting for all club members!
CSF: The last CSF meeting of the school meeting of the school year is today, May
18th at lunch in room 30. We will be holding elections for next year. See you there!

Seniors: Buy your Grad Night tickets now! This year, Grad Night will be held at the
Bay Club in Santa Clara, formerly the Decathlon Club. Activities include swimming,
dancing, ping pong, inflatable slide, Velcro wall, human hamster balls, fire pits, a photo
booth, and more! Tickets are $100 and are on sale through May 26th. Ticket order forms
are available in the office.
Attention students! If you signed up to take English 3 Honors next year, there will be
a meeting during Study Hall tomorrow, May 19th to go over the summer assignments.
This meeting will take place in Room 30. Again, this meeting is during Study Hall in Room
30. Ms. Campanella and Ms. Hinshaw look forward to meeting you! (Hinshaw)
Seniors: Last day to sign-up for trying out for graduation speeches will be tomorrow,
May 19th.Tryouts will take place after school on Thursday, May 21st, beginning at 2:45 in
room 30. Each participant will need to bring three copies of their speech on the day of the
tryout. If you have any questions please see Mr. Rose.
Erik's Deli Cafe in Saratoga is having a WEEK long fundraiser for the sports at
Prospect!! Starting today, May 18th from 4 to 9pm every day for a week until May
22nd. Just mention Prospect and 20% will be donated. 18800 Cox Avenue.
Homework Center is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 – 3:30 in
the library.

College and Career News
Juniors - Do college application essays seem daunting to you? Wondering how and when
you will get them done? Want to know what the prompts are for the UC and Common
Application essays? Come to the “Head Start on College Essays” workshop on Thursday,
May 21 to learn how you can get started on your essays now and over the
summer. Workshop will take place at 2:50 p.m. in Room 30.

Both performances start at 7pm in the Prospect Performing Arts Center (PAC).
The Prospect Jazz Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble

Special Guests: The Santa Clara Vanguard Brass Ensemble
will perform on

and the
Jazz Ensemble, Concert Choir, Color Guard, and Symphony Orchestra
will perform on

Yearbook Distribution:
If you purchased an ASB card at the beginning of the year, you have already purchased a
yearbook and will need to pick it up at one of the distribution days, below. Bring your
ASB card as proof that you purchased the yearbook. If you did not purchase an
ASB card, you may purchase a yearbook for $100 (cash or checks payable to: Prospect
Yearbook) on one of the distribution days below.
 Yearbook Signing Party: Tuesday, May 26th during lunch in the
Gym. To get your yearbook a day earlier than everyone else, come to the
Yearbook Signing Party. It's the yearbook class' major fundraiser. $5 gets you in
for some tunes and colorful pens to accessorize this year’s book.
 Wednesday, May 27th 2:30-3pm: Pick up your yearbook in the lunch
lines after school.
 Thursday, May 28th and Friday, May 29th: Pick up yearbooks
from Room 52 at break, lunch, and after school.
 During Finals: Yearbooks can be picked up/purchased from the Activities
Office at break and after school.
