Dear Parents/Carers,
Thank you to all of you that attended yesterday’s parent voice meetings it was really great to meet you and listen to your ideas and
thoughts. I’ll begin the process of analysing responses and suggestions this weekend. For those of you who couldn’t make it could you
complete the questionnaire your child is bringing home? I’ve sent these to all parents just in case some of yesterday attendees didn’t sign
the register sheets, sorry for the additional sheet but I don’t want to miss anyone’s views!
I’ve listed diary dates below for meetings; these are also on the website. I apologise for changing the Parent Conference dates but feel we
must align these meetings more closely with the children’s targets that are issued termly. The final conference in July will be a requested
meeting, after reading your child’s report you can request to meet your child’s classteacher on the days listed or we will make a specific
request to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress.
From Monday at 9:12 a.m. the playground gates will be closed so we can accurately assess those families who are not coming to school on
time and offer appropriate support to them. To those families who are already in the playgrounds you will have to leave promptly to ease
your exit from the school, we will though keep the gates open after school so you can stay around to chat and talk with one another. All
families who are late will have to come through the main entrance and log your child into school so we have an accurate record of
punctuality; do not take them directly to class.
Finally as you may be aware we have had an anomaly where TA’s and LSA’s and Nursery staff were known by their first names and
teaching staff by surname only. We have discussed this as a staff and have decided that as of Monday all staff in the school will be referred
to by their first names by children and parents alike.
