In reading this week we worked on Independent Reading.
Each student has their own book box to keep books that they are
working on. They also enjoyed Listening to Reading on headsets.
We read the story Dragon Gets By, while working on stating the
beginning, middle and end of the story.
This week I completed the STEP reading assessment for each
student. This gives me information on your child’s reading
strengths and weaknesses. I will share this with you at
conferences.
In math, students are progressing in Rocket Math, some
passing 3 levels already! Our work in unit one continues, adding
and subtracting one digit numbers to 18. Practice at home as well.
Fall Conferences are October 15, 16 and 17. If you did not
sign up at Open House, please call or email so we can find a day and

Please send your payment for this year’s field trips. $15
covers the whole year. You can also send your payment in $5
increments if that is helpful. I will send home more information
about the field trips as they are scheduled.
