Travelling Monkeys
You may or may not have seen our new ‘cheeky’ friends Monkeying around
outside the office  Martha and Morris are here waiting to go on their travels
with their nursery friends! If you have a holiday coming up and would like to
take Martha or Morris with you then please speak to Kara/Kayleigh  we wou
love to know what they get up to on holiday 
Photos
All rooms are updating their Family Boards please can you send in some family
pictures. (Maximum of 4 photos per child please)
(Mum, Dad, Aunties, Grandparents, Pets, Siblings etc)
Homelink (Here There & Everywhere)
We really enjoy finding out what the children have been experiencing when o
and about or at home.
All age groups now have their own e-mail addresses for Homelink/Here There
Everywhere.
You can now send photos and paragraphs of the exciting places you visit,
activities, celebrations, new milestones they have reached, upcoming events
you are attending, new arrivals etc.
(So easy now with the current smart phones, add our address to your contac
take a picture and email to us with a small caption)
The information provided helps the practitioners to plan opportunities using
their current interest as a focus for their learning. It’s a great way to work in
partnership with you and your child. We look forward to seeing your photos
and thank you for your time.
Who’s collecting your Child?
This month we’ve have had a high number of people turning up to collect
children when the nursery staff have not been informed of a different carer
pick-up. Resulting in us having to call and confirm.
Please can you notify a member of staff and management if someone differen
is collecting your child, we will require a password, first and last name of
person collecting, description of person and where possible a photo (this A
PHOTO can be sent via email if short notice)
Please return child/childrens data form sheet to Kara/Kayleigh.
Door Entry
Once you have been let into the building, please do not leave the door open f
people who may be following behind. All parents, visitors & Guest entering th
nursery must be verified by a staff member.
Keeping your children safe is paramount to use, we really appreciate your co
operation.
Nursery Opens at 7.30am –closes 6pm (late fee £3.50 per 15 minutes late)
Traffic
As you are aware due to the new work on the new road, there has been an
increase in the number of late pick ups. Please allow enough time for collectin
your child from nursery.
Swimming Lessons with Total Tots & 3-1-5 Swim School
Please let a member of staff know if you would like your child to start
swimming lessons with Total Tots & 3-1-5 Swim School.

Natalies Return
Natalie Harrison will be returning from maternity leave on the 8th June. We look
forward to have her back in the 0-1 room 
Dummy Amnesty
On the week commencing 8 -12 June 2015 we will hold a Dummy Amnesty in Tota
Tots. If you think your child is ready to give up all their dummies there will be a bo
available to put them in, In return for giving up their dummies the children will
receive a certificate and a teddy to take to bed with them instead of their dummy. I
you wish your child to take part, please take the opportunity to talk to them and
prepare them for giving up their dummy.

There are benefits to your child not having a dummy. For example speech and
language. ‘It’s hard to talk with something in your mouth’. Try placing your finger
on to your tongue and try to have a conversation; this is very hard to understand fo
the person you are speaking to. This is what it is like for your child trying to talk
with a dummy. It interferes with how your child pronounces words when learning t
talk.
School Leave Dates
I hope you were all successful in getting the School of your choice. We will be sad to see
them leave as most of the children we have had from an early age and watched them grow
into confident little learners (information on leavers party to follow) Please can you inform
me (Kara) when your child’s last day in Pre-school will be via email totaltots@hotmail.co.u
or written notice. (4 weeks notice)
REMINDER!
Free Entitlement does not run throughout the Summer Holidays and will commence
again in September.
Total Tots Water Bottles £1.50
The bottles are to be taken home each night and returned each morning. Each bott
will be stored during the day in a water carrier, where you child will have access to
at all times. The bottles have a space for your child’s name [nursery is provide with
specialist pen to write on your child’s name, dishwasher proof]
Why Water Is Important for Kids
THE BENEFITS OF DRINKING WATER
Besides getting your kids to drink plenty of milk each day, be sure you don't forge
the H2O! Although it has no nutrients, water is essential to your child's health. It
makes up more than half of kids' body weight and is needed to keep all parts of th
body functioning properly.
Some of the benefits of drinking water include:
Digestion support
Constipation prevention
Proper blood circulation
Water also helps transport nutrients and oxygen to cells, regulate body temperatur
and maintain electrolyte (sodium) balance.
Car Park
Please take extra care and drive slowly when entering and
exiting the car park.

Am Session- 7.30-12.30 Pm Session 1-6pm
(Please drop off and collect your child within these
times)
Please be aware that we are not allowed to let Parents &
Children into nursery before 7.30am
Nursery staff arrive early to set up rooms, activities and
breakfast. Thank you

SICKNESS AND ABSENSES
Please can you notify nursery if your child will by absent
by calling the office on 01524 68043 or emailing
lancaster@totaltots.co.uk
If your child is sick then they can not return to nursery for
48 hours. Antibiotics must have been prescribed and
administered 24 hours at home before we can administer
them at nursery.
Parent Contract (fees)
All fees are invoiced 1 month in advance. Fees are
calculated calendar monthly. Monthly fees will be paid by
the 8th of every month. Payments can be made by cheque,
cash or Bacs Transfer. We now also have a card machine
at nursery.
**If you pay for fees through a Childcare Voucher Scheme,
the remaining balance should be paid by the 8th
