Prom is on May 21st at the Skirball Cultural Center. The theme is “A Midnight Escape.” Early bird tickets on
Sale, Tuesday, April 26th until Friday, April 29th. Nominate your seniors from Tuesday April 26 th until Thursday
April 28th for Prom King and Queen. Seniors, send in pictures of you and your friends to be a part of a prom
memory. Look for a flyer or go to the student bank for more details. ~Ms. Miller
JUNIORS: Cal Poly Pomona will be in the Career Center on Thursday, May 5, 2011 during 5th
period for a presentation. Stop by the Career Center today to sign up and pick up a 5th period
permission slip. -Mrs. Marquez
10th ANNUAL XANADU FILM FESTIVAL - Friday, April 29th from 5-10pm
Tickets are on sale now from any film club member and in room C207. Come to Alhambra High's auditorium to see
your classmates' and other local high schoolers' best student films on the BIG SCREEN! Tickets are $3 presale ($2
ASB) or $5 at the door. Come and find out if Keppel can take the award for best feature AGAIN this year!!!

Attention AP Bio Students: in addition to the study sessions being offered this week, there will be two more
review sessions this week from 3:00 to 4:30 PM in B120. . Thursday, Immune system, homeostasis,
osmoregulation. Friday, Sensory and motor systems.
Study sessions will be open to both classes and AP Bio students taking the AP test independently.~Mr. Howley
Alhambra Management Association Scholarship is offering a $500 scholarship. Eligibility:
Graduating senior interested in a career in teaching or public service, a good citizen, enrollment in an
academic or vocational program at an accredited two-year or four-year program full-time, involved in
school activities, community service, or extra- curricular activities, and has a 2.5 GPA minimum. Please
pick up an application in the Career Center. Return completed application package back to Mrs. Marquez
in the Career Center. Deadline: May 18, 2011 at 3:00pm to Mrs. Marquez in the Career Center
NHS members: there will be a meeting on Monday, May2, at lunch, in the old gym. Singups for elected
offices will be taken at that time. Miss Rosso
Mandarin Airband rehearsal will be in the cafeteria today(Thursday) afterschool. Only performers are

Mother's Day is around the corner. Stop in to C-113 (the Bandroom) to pick up a card for your Mother,
sister, cousin, or friend in honor of Mother's Day.
