JOHNSONITE INTRODUCES THREE EXCITING NEW RUBBER TILE TEXTURES September 2014 The natural look of brushed aluminum, hand-troweled concrete and hand-tooled leather are now standard offerings in the Johnsonite rubber flooring collection with the introduction of three new textured finishes. Ideal for the hospitality, corporate and the education segments, the Brushed, Concrete and Leather textures offer the market true, natural finishes by bringing rich colors and mineral looks to rubber flooring. Design and Development The new rubber textures capture the authentic essence of brushed metallic, handtroweled concrete and tooled leather surfaces. The tiles offer the market true, natural finishes, bringing rich colors and mineral looks to rubber flooring. The new textures create exciting visuals but are subtle enough not to overwhelm the space. Many of the 95 colors in the standard Johnsonite line are suited to metals, leather and concrete which add more credence to the appealing visuals. The new rubber textures allow for design continuity with popular embossing or surface treatments found in other types of flooring, as well as a wide range of interior finishes and products. The replication of metallics and other minerals creates textures that bring uniqueness to every tile. Performance and Maintenance The new textures, like all Johnsonite rubber flooring, provide extreme durability and a “no finish required” maintenance schedule for lower-cost upkeep. To improve the cleaning process, every facet of the tile surface was rounded, guaranteeing minimal debris collection in the textures. The new options maintain a unique, luxurious appearance while providing slip resistance, shock absorbing qualities and natural acoustic properties. Brushed, Concrete and Leather are phthalate-free and made in the USA in an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified plant, assuring quality and a positive environmental impact. Textured rubber’s durability and reduced maintenance schedule diminish the impact on the environment by using less water, chemicals and energy for maintenance. Rubber is also recyclable. Marketing Elements To show off the new textures, Johnsonite has created a new “Tile Textures Chain Set”, item #95100-1115. The new presentation set shows all 23 textures in various colorways. For example, some textures are repeated in the chain set using solid colors, speckled and marbleized. Also created to showcase our expansive offering is the new Tile Textures Brochure, item #95100-1177. The photo-filled piece shows off all of Johnsonite’s rubber tile textures, featuring the Circulinity and Folio collections, as well as the new Brushed, Concrete and Leather textures. The Rubber Tile Textures System and Product Portfolio folder has been updated as well. Its item number is 95100-92W. The new textures are also being added to the standard Rubber Tile Chain Set, item #95100-1126, as a running line change. A Solid Color Rubber Tile Retrofit Set is also available for those sets already in use. It can be ordered as #95100-1129. The Main Street Display Board is also new. Its item number is 95100-1156.
