History Homework We are embarking on our fantastic Victorian project and we have been looking at the four different sources of evidence (written, visual, oral, physical) that we can use to find out about the past. Your team came up with so many different ideas in each category! I photographed these and have copied them out for you to look at and use in your homework (you do not have to use them all!). I would like you to present your ideas in a poster, powerpoint, leaflet, information booklet, iMovie, model etc. to explain to people about the four different categories and to give some examples. Basically, you can do this any way you would like to. It could be handwritten or you could use ICT, you could colour, paint, collagethe list is endless but try to make it neat and eye-catching for an audience as I would like to put these up in our class display and they can form part of you final product. I am happy to give you resources from school if you can show me that you have a clear plan. Please hand in by Monday October 19th. These four sources of evidence are: Visual: People recorded events by painting and, in more modern history, through photographs and films Physical: Objects that people in history have left behind Oral: People tell their families and this is passed down through the generations Written: People keep records of events by writing them down.
