Group Constitution
Your club/society’s constitution is in line with the Union Basic Group Constitution. The part which
Clubs decide on at AGM is the following:

Surrey European Society
Club/Society abbreviated name: EuroSoc
The Core Objectives:
These are the core objectives of the group which can only be changed only with the agreement of the
relevant Union Standing Committee. This is what your club/society exists for and cannot be the same
as any other union group. You will not be able to use funding on anything else.
This group exists to:
e.g. Participate in & promote Dodgeball. Represent the University of Surrey.
Surrey European Society represents a common ground for European students, especially the
ones who do not have a community large enough to form their own society, as well as for
Exchange students. In this way, they will have the chance to meet people of different
cultures and nationalities and get involved together in a wide range of activities.
The Aims of this group (for the year):
These are the aims which the committee and club will work towards for the year up until the next
AGM. You will not be able to use funding on anything else.
The aims of this group for the year are:
e.g. To increase participation, To promote the club not only in Union Media but also in Local
Media.



Organise events and activities to provide help and support for European and Exchange
students
Raise awareness about the multicultural environment existent at the university
Get UK students and other international students’ societies involved in the activities and
events run by EuroSoc

Promote the society as efficiently as possible in order to increase its membership

Organise events and run projects of general interest to attract a wide range of students,
including UK students; this will enhance the communication between home students and
other European nationalities
