Dear Student,
I am delighted that you are interested in challenging yourself in reading this year!
To meet the challenge this year, you need to read:



4th grade: Read 6 of the current Mark Twain nominees
5th grade: Read 8 of the current Mark Twain nominees
6th grade: Read 10 of the current Mark Twain nominees
The deadline to join the club is October 12, 2013.
As you read each book, log on to the Missouri Readers Club page on the Library website, and take a quiz to show what
you know. (For the book to count, you need to score 80% or higher – you are allowed two attempts). Before you get
online, make sure that an adult knows that you are using the computer.
Once a month, Ms. Rues will hand out badges at your library time.
Attached to this sheet is a list of all of the Mark Twain nominees for this year. You can use that list to keep track of which
titles you have read and your score on your quizzes. However, Ms. Rues will keep the official record online.

I understand that any acts of dishonesty will eliminate me from the challenge. This includes: sharing answers, taking
quizzes with another person, taking quizzes on books I have not read.
