APPLICATION TO COACH
The 2015 State Championships will be held in Bendigo on Saturday, Oct 10th & Sunday Oct 11th.
We anticipate that coaches wishing to coach Barwon teams at State Titles will attend both player Trial dates
to assist in the selection of teams.
Coach Guidelines attached which I have read and agreed to (please  ) 
Trials will be held on – Sunday, June 21st and Sunday, July 5th

Barwon Region Personnel Guidelines
Team Coach
Aims of the Position:
1. To provide a safe training environment for players.
2. To enhance players in the areas of skill, fitness, rules of the game and sportsmanship.
Criteria:
1. Coaches will hold a current Netball Victoria registration and a current AA examination pass.
2. Will hold at least a current Development (NCAS) coaching accreditation.
3. Make a personal commitment to keep informed of sound coaching principles and the principles of growth
and development of players within the Barwon Netball Region Inc.
4. Submit a written application on the form provided, to the Barwon Netball Region Inc. coaching coordinator,
by the due date
Duties:
1. Be a role model. Abide by the codes of Healthy Behaviour as adopted by Netball Victoria with regards to
alcohol, tobacco and drug use whilst representing the Barwon Netball Region Inc.
2. Attend all training sessions or make adequate arrangements for an alternative approved coach (ratified by
the committee).
3. To be available for the duration of the State Titles.
4. Be available to attend the Barwon Netball Region Inc. meetings if required.
5. Submit a written report regarding the State Titles performance within 30 days.
6. Be a member of the selection panel.
7. It is not the responsibility of the coach to make decisions regarding age being relevant for selections. T.I.D. is
to be considered according to Netball Victoria guidelines.
8. Follow the advice of medical professional when determining the availability of a player returning from
injury. Such players must have a completed Drs or Physio certificate or letter and, at the discretion of the
coach, be deemed fit for play.
9. Advise the Barwon Netball Region Inc. of the name/s of the captain and vice-captain prior to the
presentation of uniforms.The coach to advise the players once this is ratified by the Barwon Netball Region
Inc. Committee.
10. Scheduling and length of training times should take in to consideration the physical maturity level and the
other commitments of the players.Liaise with Barwon Netball Region Inc. Executive regarding training
schedule and venue.
11. Based on performance, at the discretion of the coach, all players are to be treated fairly.
12. Where possible, players will be given reasonable court time.
13. Team Coach to wear the official Barwon Netball Region Inc. uniform.
14. Be a great Ambassador for your Region.
15. As a Barwon State Titles coach, refrain from commenting on T.I.D queries, recruitment of players, Leagues /
Associations.
