LIVESTOCK WATERING IMPROVEMENT APPLICATION

OBJECTIVE: The WSRCD will strive to demonstrate the values of riparian and water management
by co-operating with producers to deliver program options to meet their goals. The Conservation
District will pay 50% of producer’s costs up to $1,000.00 for projects such as fencing of dugouts,
alternative watering systems, streambank stabilization or the establishment of a buffer strip or
alternative pasture to protect riparian areas.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The West Souris River Conservation District will provide financial assistance as follows:
1.
50% of costs (material and labour) to a maximum of $1000 for any one or combination of the above
mentioned project options upon inspection and approval by the West Souris River Conservation District.
2.
Applicant will normally be responsible for providing labour.
3.
Where bufferstrips and pastures are established with West Souris River Conservation District
assistance landowners shall not break pasture, burn, cultivate or in any way cause damage to
bufferstrips for a minimum of 4 years.
4.
Projects applied for must be within the WSRCD.
5.
Applicant must supply a copy of the Driller’s Report and invoice for construction.
6.
Applications are subject to Board approval and availability of funding.
I hereby declare that I have read and understand the terms and conditions of the Livestock Watering
Improvement program, and I do herby agree to abide by said terms and conditions of the agreement
