Interested contractors in the approved list of CPWD, Railways, MES, State PWD, Govt. undertakings and
contractors of repute Private companies are requested to quote their lowest rates for each item of work in
the schedule and submit it to the undersigned in a sealed cover superscribing “ Quotation for Supply
Fabrication and Fixing Structural Steel Girder Support for Pumps over Sump in LWFL ”. Tender
forms and other details can be had from the Civil Engineering Department on any working day (Monday –
Friday) from 18/11/2014 to 09/12/2014 during office hours(9.30 am - 5.00pm). Time & Date of receiving
of tender is Up to 3 pm on 09/12/2014. The tenders will be opened at 4.00 pm on 09/12/2014.
General Conditions:
1. The quantities specified in the schedule are approximate only and may vary. The successful bidder
have to carry out the extra quantities of work, if any, at the same rates and the same terms & condition
of contract. No escalation of rates are admissible.
2. The quoted rate should be inclusive of all materials, labour, scaffolding, welding, painting etc.
complete charges where ever not otherwise specified .
3. If Service Tax is applicable, mention Percentage of Service Tax and the Amount on which the Service
Tax will be Applicable. If this information is not given by the contractor, it will be assumed that the
quoted rates are inclusive of Service Tax and No separate future claim towards Service Tax
will be Entertained.
4. The successful financial bidder will have to execute an agreement with the Institute in a stamp paper
worth Rs.100/-.
5. The time of completion of the above work will be 3 months from the date of receipt of work
order. Request for Extension of time of completion will not be entertained in normal conditions and
any delay will invite LD as per rules.
6. Structural Steel required for the work will have to be supplied by you. The quality of the
structural steel members must be standard as per ISI specifications for all standard items.
7. The drawings supplied along with the Tender are Working Drawings and all estimates can be done
based on these drawings. More details will be supplied before the actual execution of the work
8. Payment will be made as follows :
1. 1st R A Bill will be paid after completion of 50% of works .
2. 2nd & Final Bill will be paid only after satisfactory completion of the whole works .
Payment on the Final Bill will be released only after Receipt of Form 20B under KVAT
Act from the Sales Tax Department.
9. Security deposit at 10% will be deducted from your bill and it will be released only after a period of 1
year during which you are liable to undertake any repair/maintenance of the structure which you have
undertaken. If you are failing to take up the repair works in time, in addition to the value of repair
works ,all other losses incurred by the company due to the inferior quality of the work will have to be
born by you and necessary deductions will be made from the deposit amount.
10. Income tax as per rules will be deducted from your bill. Any other govt. taxes / levies that may arise
during the contract period shall be born by you.
11. All other Terms & Condition will be as per the tender and general condition of contract applicable to
FCRI, which you have to read before submitting the quotation.
12. The Institute reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof.
13. The Tender forms are available at the office of the Civil Engineering Dept during Office hours from
18/11/2014 to 09/12/2014 .
