He has held senior positions in the Australian Government working on implementation of natural resource management programme, climate change negotiations, and social and Indigenous policy reform. Andrew Maclean Protecting biodiversity in Australia’s wet tropics Executive Director, Wet Tropics Management Authority Andrew has nearly 30 years of professional experience in land and resource management in a variety of roles in Victoria and the Wet Tropics. His professional interests are in the management of public land, the biodiversity and heritage values of protected areas and native forests. He aims to ensure communities understand and value environmental assets as a basis for improved management. Andrew has a B.Sc. and Masters degrees in Environmental Management and Public Administration. Anwar Purwoto Biodiversity conservation in Sumatra and Kalimantan Fresh Water, Forest, and Terrestrial Species Director, Indonesia World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Anwar has oversight of WWF programs in Sumatra and Kalimantan. He has over 10 years field experience in Bali, South Sulawesi and Jambi. His main background is in biodiversity conservation but has also worked in forestry planning, research and management. He began his career in the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry before being assigned to WWF Indonesia to promote forest certification and coordinate forest partnerships. Jessica Graham Combating illegal wildlife trade Senior Advisor, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement, Department of State (US) Jessica has created an environmental crime program specialising in wildlife trafficking and illegal logging. She worked on the Presidential National Strategy to Combat Wildlife Trafficking and was instrumental in developing the UN Crime Commission Resolution adopted in 2013 that elevated wildlife trafficking to a serious crime. She holds a BA in Political Science and an MA in International Politics and Environmental Policy. Leif Cocks Establishing protected areas for wildlife protection President and founder, The Orang-utan Project and President, Wildlife Asia Leif has worked hands on with and for orang-utans for over 30 years, including managing the most successful breeding colony and the first two successful reintroductions of zoo-born orang-utans. Leif authored Orang-utans and their Battle for Survival and several peer-reviewed journal articles. He has several academic qualifications, including an MSc studying orang-utans.
