We have exciting opportunities for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants interested in working in our liver, heart, lung and VAD programs. In accordance with the rules and regulations of Massachusetts governing NP practice, the NP will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of care of potential transplant recipients and living donors in one or more phases of transplant. Will also work collaboratively across all phases of transplant. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Physician Extender role in: Transplant Evaluation (inpatient and outpatient) Waitlist management Transplant Admission Post-Transplant Management (outpatient) Administrative and Regulatory duties QUALIFICATIONS: Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Massachusetts. Current certification as a nurse practitioner and authorization to practice as a nurse practitioner in Massachusetts. Master's degree in nursing. Minimum of 2 years relevant nursing experience. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who functions independently and possesses strong communication skills, with at least two years experience as an NP/PA in an adult acute care cardiology environment, or a new graduate with at least three years of RN experience managing heart failure/ heart transplant patients in a critical care setting.
