Discussion
Welcome to new Trustees
Welcome to our new Trustees, Councillor Jean Skinner and Chris
Hitchins who were unable to make our last meeting.
Minutes of Last Board Meeting
Minutes agreed.
George presented the accounts (see end of minutes) dated 19th March
2014.
Following our last meeting it was decided to renew our subscription
to AIRS Tier 1. We are approaching our third financial year-end and it
was agreed that George would arrange a gift for Michelle Warner on
behalf of the Trust as a thank you for preparing the accounts.
Planning Application
Nick went through the latest plans in detail for the benefit of our new
Trustees. Three main items were highlighted. The first concern was
the area between the light box on the lower roof and the higher roof
where leaves could gather. The second concern was the joining of the
zinc overhang with the green roof. The third item was the possibility
of reducing the number of supports for the zinc overhang. The
addition of the windows, as requested after our last meeting, on the
north elevation by the meeting area was welcomed. Sheila will e-mail
Vivienne Blandford and Simon Barker after the meeting with the items
highlighted. Simon will now upload the application to the planning
portal. The original Design and Access Statement has been amended
and added to but the document is rather large and could not be emailed to me in time for the meeting. Sheila will endeavour to acquire
a copy.

Once the planning permission has been granted the Trustees would
like to arrange a meeting with the Parish Council to establish the areas
of responsibilities and funding for the next phase of the project.
It is anticipated that our two BCHT Trustees Rick Mudie and Councillor
Skinner, who are also Ionides Trustees will open a dialogue with all
interested parities around the site i.e. the Scouts and surgery, in order
to make sure everyone is aware of the progress of the project to avoid
any misunderstandings.
The Ionides Trust is arranging an event on the Ionides Trust land on
September 6th for the village. Councillor Skinner will find out more
details at the next Ionides meeting.
The next meeting will be on 16th May 2014 at 7.30 at 9 Broad Oak.
Thank you George and Eileen for hosting the meeting yet again and
again and again!!!!!
