Contract of Services for Historian in Residence, Kildare County Council.
Kildare County Council seeks applications for the role of Historian in Residence. This
contract for services is a part time role, from Spring 2015 to Spring 2017. The total fee,
available is €15,500 per annum.
Commemorative Programme for County Kildare
The Commemorative Programme will take note of national policy and national
commemorative projects, but it will ultimately focus on County Kildare.
The aim of the programme in Kildare is to establish the most appropriate way in which to
mark the centenaries within the county. The nature of the programme would be expansive,
delivering a series of commemorative events, school programmes, publications, etc. The
intention is to create a legacy of research and/or cultural and artistic material for future
generations. The delivery of the programme should be inclusive, appropriate and sensitive,
to take account of all aspects of life in County Kildare in the period 1913-1923.

Interviews will take place on 30th March and shortlisting may apply.
