Its three campuses in Heilbronn, Künzelsau and Schwäbisch Hall span the central Neckar region in which they embody the spirit of teaching, learning and research. Formerly a School of Engineering, Heilbronn University has prospered and developed into one of the major Institute of Higher Education in Baden-Württemberg, providing not only innovative research but also attractive academic study programs which are aligned to the economic heartbeat of the country. The university offers over 40 vocationally-oriented as well as knowledge-based Bachelor and Master courses to more than 6,000 students in the field of Engineering, Business Studies and Information Technology. The study programs provide a sound theoretical grounding while integrating vocational elements such as industrial placements or project work. Focus is also placed on competence-based approaches in order to enhance student’s key competences across functions and disciplines. Most study programs have been created in direct response to the needs of local industries but an increasing number of course are focusing on the challenges presented by today’s global business environment. The Faculty of International Business Located at the city of Heilbronn, the faculty of International Business has a strong international profile. Five Bachelor and two Master programs are offered in the fields of International Business, Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Management as well as Wine Management. A large number of courses are taught in the English language and therefore particularly suitable for international exchange students.
