CURRENT EVENT STATUS
Weather
 An arctic air mass has moved into St. Johns County bringing with it some of the coldest
temperatures we have experienced in several years. Today’s high temperature will be well
below normal reaching only around 40.

St. Johns County is under:
- Freeze warning will be in effect Tuesday from 7:00 pm until Wednesday at 10:00 am,
this means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or expected for at least 2 hours.

Today's Weather: Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Wind chill values as low as 18. Breezy,
with a north wind 13 to 16 mph.

Tonight's Weather: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 34. Wind chill values as low as 26.
North wind around 10 mph.

COMMUNITY CANCELLATIONS / CLOSURES

St. Johns County Bookmobile Service for Tuesday, January 7 will be cancelled due to Extreme
Cold Weather – locations affected by this cancellation include:
- Oaks at St. Johns
- Pavilion at Bayview
- The Oaks Apartments-St. Augustine
- Southern Villas
- St. Augustine Health and Rehabilitation

The Solomon Calhoun Center pool will be closed Tuesday, January 7 due to air temperatures
below 40 degrees. The pool is expected to resume standard operating hours on Wednesday,
January 8. Please call 904.209.0395 for updated information.

St. Johns County Emergency Management is requesting that departments or
organizations that are taking actions relative to the winter weather please
advise us by email so that they can be added to our situation reports

Now would be a good time for all citizens to review their emergency plan
and supplies.

