Fundraising Events Assistant, Children’s Charity, Camden
Variety, the Children’s Charity is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help increase
its portfolio of fundraising events and supporters at its London Head Office, close to
Camden Town Tube Station. Variety is dedicated to supporting children and young
people across the UK who are sick, disabled or disadvantaged by providing grants
and mobility equipment to taking children on amazing days out through our Variety at
Work programme.
Supporting the Mass Participation and Challenge Events Coordinator, tasks will
include:

Researching organisations who host events and may want a charity
partner
Recruitment of supporters – both corporate and individual
Marketing of challenge events (Marathons etc)
Raise awareness of Variety and its events within the local community
Other e.g. Support at Challenge events both pre and post
As a Fundraising Events Assistant, you will be given the opportunity to work on a
number of rewarding events, develop your research, meet some new people and of
course, gain some fantastic work experience.
Training and previous experience is not a requirement, but good communication,
research and organisation skills and a regular commitment is. Whatever time you are
able to give will make a huge difference to the charity and the children and young
people whom we support.

SECTION B – FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT ROLE
Summary of Role
To work with the Fundraising Team to research and
attain beneficiary events, corporate supporters and
increase the portfolio of challenge events to Variety.
