This EBC program will highlight a panel of EHS managers from a cross section of New England
companies that have responsibility for environmental, health and safety within their
organizations. Learn firsthand from these managers about how they and their organizations are
managing EHS issues that include: regulatory compliance and beyond, climate change,
Broadening areas of responsibility (sustainability [energy, carbon, water], product stewardship,
social responsibility), the many factions that drive their agenda (shareholders, government,
NGO’s, customers), and finally priority initiatives for 2013-2014.

Russell Schuck is a Vice President at Haley & Aldrich. Russell has over 20 years experience in
environmental consulting. He serves as a client leader for the company's Industrial Environmental
Business Unit which focuses on clients in the aerospace, automotive, biopharma, petrochemical, and
general manufacturing market segments. He is also on the leadership team for Haley & Aldrich's
Contaminated Sediment Management practice.
Russell acts as project manager on large, complex, sites providing strategic advice to the client team.
He provides technical support on site assessment, conceptual site model development, contaminant fate
and transport evaluation, and remedial strategy development. His areas of expertise include site
characterization techniques, contaminant hydrogeology, metals geochemistry, limnology, and DNAPL
fate and transport.
Russell is a Licensed Professional Geologist in NH and a Certified Professional Geologist. He is a
member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists and the American Chemical Society.
Russell received a B.A. in Geology from Hartwick College and an M.S. in Geology/Water Resources from
the University of Vermont.

Mr. Lovejoy is a Vice President and Global Sales Director, Manufacturing Sector for AECOM. He is
responsible for AECOM’s Environment business lines manufacturing key account program. We serve
over 300 manufacturing clients and generate $100 million in revenue in this sector. Growing our key
account relationships (targeting 20 multi-national corporations) by expanding the range of services
provided and global geographies served is his daily mission. Mr. Lovejoy works with the Manufacturing
Sales Leaders in Asia, Australia, Canada, Europe/Middle East/Africa and Latin America to identifying the
best resources and ensuring quality project performance for our clients is job number one.
Using his 30 years of business development and account management experience, he consults with
clients on engineering, regulatory compliance, health and safety, environmental, real estate and
construction management projects. He assists with maintaining an outward focus to anticipate and
respond to evolving needs of industry. This includes participation in industry associations and advisory
committees and presenting at professional conferences and meetings.

Robert A. Castaldo is currently the Director of Environmental, Health and Safety at Massachusetts
General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA. As the Director, Mr. Castaldo leads and manages
comprehensive environmental, health and safety programs with an emphasis on fire safety management,
occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, biological safety and environmental compliance.
Prior to working at MGH Mr. Castaldo spent 14 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, first as
the Safety Manager and then as Safety Director from 1996 to 2002. He received his Bachelor of Science
degree from Boston College and a Master of Science degree from the University of Vermont. Mr.
Castaldo is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, the American Industrial Hygiene
Association, and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Safety Council.
