Russell Baker received his B.A. in English from Johns Hopkins University in 1947. Russell Baker worked as a reporter for The Baltimore Sun and then The New York Times. He's style is generally casual but thoughtful. In 1979 he received the Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary and autobiography Growing Up in 1982.
