Back to School
Flint Hill is off to a great start for the 2015-2016 school year.
We have practiced safety drills for both severe weather and fire
drills. We also had the transportation team come to teach
school bus safety with the SOAR program.

SCIENCE around the Building!
Flint Hill’s Title I and
FLP Parent Night was a
HUGE Success!!
Everywhere you look at FHES you can see evidence of science
and technology. From growing grass caterpillars with our
youngest students to learning about weather and erosion in our
STEM lab. What is S.T.E.M? It stands for Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math! Students will use tools
and instruments for observing, measuring, and manipulating
objects in scientific activities utilizing safe laboratory
procedures. Our students are getting hands on experience with
Science!
The parents at FHES were
able to come to FHES to
discuss how to get involved in
their child’s education. We
discussed ways to help with
their student’s homework,
how to volunteer in the school,
and how to get involved in
their student’s education. We
were so excited to see so many
parents in attendance.
STEM Lab Earns
Grant Money!
Thanks to the DART
Foundation Grant, FHES
received $2000 for the
S.T.E.M. Lab! We are very
thankful! The students have
loved visiting the S.T.E.M. lab
and doing science experiments
each week!!!!!!!!!

FARM DAY WAS INCREDIBLE!
The Farm Bureau in conjunction with the High School FFA
clubs treated our students to Farm Day! The students were
able to see cows, goats, pigs and chickens. They also were
able to see how bees make honey, how much farm land is used
to grow all of our food and they got to meet Ranger Rick.
High School students chauffeured the students from station to
station as they learned about farms. The Farm Bureau also
donated a book to every homeroom teacher. It was a great
experience for our students! They learned so much and they
loved every minute.
