MEDIA RELEASE April 25, 2013 Arts, Culture, and Volunteering go Hand in Hand Victoria, BC - The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria (CACGV) is recognizing Arts and Culture Week and National Volunteer Week during the 14th Annual Look Show, now underway at the Bay Centre until April 27, 2013. National Volunteer Week (running from 10-16 May) serves as an opportunity to acknowledge over 80 community volunteers who will host the Look Show this week, with another 25 artists onsite demonstrating their talent. “The Look Show would not be possible without the support of our committed volunteers. We extend our appreciation to them for sharing their time and talents. It is their enthusiasm that inspires arts and culture in Victoria,” comments Bob Williams, President of CACGV. The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria appreciates the ongoing support of the Capital Regional District Arts Development Office, the Provincial Government's BC Arts Council, and Arts BC to deliver this show. Again this year the Bay Centre has provided space to host this show. The Look Show is a community arts exhibition featuring over 450 original works by local artists. -30Contact: Bob Williams, President CACGV Phone: (250) 634-1859 /email: cacgvbob@gmail.com www.cacgv.ca 3220 Cedar Hill Road, Victoria, BC V8P 3Y3 | 250.475.7123 | info@cacgv.ca | www.cacgv.ca
