The type of doors used; heavy, handles can’t be round need to be D shaped, remove time on automated doors e.g. The Mall, Library has push button to get into toilet area but then a door handle to get into the toilet
Size; may comply but most are not functional, too small for larger chairs, can’t fit carers in there comfortably
Dirtiness; no bins for large pads, cleanliness not maintained, no shelving to put bags instead goes on floor
*In England, all disability organisations have swipe cards to access all accessible toilet facilities, ones which aren’t open to the general public; they contain gloves, wipes, hand wipes and a fold down bed for adults
*Maroondah City Council installed a changing places toilet; contains adjustable changing bed, tracking hoist system/or mobile hoist, adequate space, centrally placed toilet, screen or curtain, wide tear of paper for to cover bench, large waste bin for disposable pads, non-slip floor

Disabled friendly buses; at the right height from the bus and the footpath, have an afterhours service, public transport and taxis use a lot of a person’s pension, better internal transport for moving within small towns
With the introduction of NDIS, service provider buses will no longer be in use, good for people’s wellbeing to have a community bus, can CoGB bus be hired out?
Train service extend to other areas

*Mornington Peninsula Council has a community bus that people can ring and order, cheaper for the individual plus council for not having to have a whole bus network

Bendigo Show; disabled parking in a good place, but wasn’t able to get into the area, poles refrained person from entering with a wheelchair, “continue the thought”

Taxi drivers – taxi need upper window, feel excluded and disconnected from outside environment when in a wheelchair in a taxi
Confusion with taxi’s; street signage, Melbourne based bad for people with a disability trying to explain their location to an automated system; heightens anxiety levels
