Post-16 applications: Summary of guidance to students after GCSE results
Cambridge Regional College
Students will be written to with their start date and other information. Enrolment and induction will take place the week commencing Monday 9 September.
If examination results are less or better than predicted, students can attend one of the Advice Days on Friday 23 or Tuesday 27 August between 9.30am and
1.00pm, where tutors will be available to discuss your options. If there are any queries contact the Admissions Office on 01223 418448.
College of West Anglia
All students with offers will be written to with details of their first day / enrolment. The details of these will vary from course to course. Some students will be
invited to enrol in summer. However, Cambridge campus students will all enrol during the first week of term (beginning Monday 2 September).
The college is open throughout the summer from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday for any admissions-related queries. Telephone the main campus numbers
(Cambridge – 01223 860701; Wisbech (Isle) – 01945 582561; King’s Lynn – 01553 761144), email admissions@col-westanglia.ac.uk or send a query via the website
‘ask a question’ page www.cwa.ac.uk/ask. If students have unexpected exam results, they should make contact as above.
Comberton Sixth Form
Confirm and send copy of results as soon as possible to Sarah Wenham, Senior Sixth Form Administrator (email swenham@comberton.cambs.sch.uk or fax 01223
264116). Comberton will then send information on enrolment.
If GCSE grades don’t meet requirements, come in to discuss your situation with the Sixth Form Leadership team on Thursday 22 August 12.30pm – 3pm or Friday
23 August 10am – 2pm. Report to the Sixth Form reception.
Cottenham Sixth Form
Students with offers will be written to with their start date and other information. Induction will take place in the week starting Wednesday 4 September. Changes
to courses can be discussed during this time in order to ensure that each student is following an appropriate programme of study.
However Students can phone the College (01954 288 944 Ext 1743) from 11 am on Thursday 22 August to discuss results or courses with the Deputy Headteacher.
Ely College Sixth Form
On results day:

01353 652818 to discuss results from 10 am until 3 pm.

Students may also call into the Sixth Form from 10 am to discuss results or course changes with the Director of Sixth Form.
Enrolment Day: Wednesday 4 September. Students will be written to and given a morning or afternoon slot. They will be sent an enrolment pack to complete and
bring with them.
Hills Road Sixth Form College
All students who have been made an offer will have received instructions about the enrolment process. Students should attend their designated enrolment day
(Friday 23 August or Tuesday 27 August).
If results do not meet the entry criteria for the chosen course, this will be dealt with at enrolment; students are asked to attend their designated enrolment day to
discuss their results and potential course. There is no need to contact the College before enrolment.
For those that have NOT been made an offer, if results are better than predicted, students interested in pursuing a potential place at Hills Road should follow the
instructions on the website posted on results day. There is no guarantee that any space will become available and students must pursue the offers they
currently hold with other centres.
Impington Sixth Form
On receiving GCSE or other relevant results, return the yellow examination notification with copies of results by 30 August to Jackie Sewell, Sixth Form Secretary,
Impington Village College, New Road, Impington, Cambridge CB24 9LX or Fax: 01223 200460. Come to the Sixth Form Common Room on Thursday 5 September
2013 at 9:00am for the start of the academic year and induction.
The Sixth Form Management Team are available from 22 August. Ring the Sixth Form Secretary (01223 200402) if you have any questions.
Long Road Sixth Form College
Students do not need to contact the college prior to enrolment. All students holding offers have been sent an enrolment appointment for either Thursday 29 or
Friday 30 August. Students unable to attend are given an alternative time, usually the morning of Monday 2 September. Students have an individual interview to
discuss their programme in the light of their examination results and subject staff give specific guidance about their courses. Each student then finalises the
courses they wish to study at the College. Students return to college on Friday 6 September for induction. Queries: admissions@longroad.ac.uk
Netherhall Sixth Form
Students will be sent a letter giving a time for enrolment on Thursday 22 or Friday 23 August. Any student unable to enrol on these days should phone the sixth
form office (01223 242931 Ext. 216) and make an alternative appointment. The sixth form office will be open following results day 8.00am – 4.00pm (Mon, Tues,
Thurs); 8.00am – 2.30pm (Wed, Fri).
Drop-in post GCSE results surgeries will be on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 August. Students are advised to telephone or email first to book an appointment
(sixthformoffice@netherhall.cambs.sch.uk).
Parkside Sixth
Drop-in post-GCSE results surgeries will be on Thursday 22 August (afternoon) and Friday 23rd August (morning) at the Eden Centre. If you cannot make these
sessions, but want to discuss your results, make contact as below. Do get in touch if you do not get the required results.
