Over the next term please complete one activity from the table below each week. Please make sure you
record your research in your books.
Find out more about the
construction of the
pyramids. Could you also
include a labelled diagram?
Make a simple game about
ancient Egypt e.g. Snap, Uno,
Snakes and Ladders etc.
Can you find out what ancient
Egyptian homes looked like,
then show in pictures, words or
a model?
Create a fact file about ancient
Egypt.
Think about the river Nile, the
pyramids, the gods, food and drink,
their clothing and the houses.
Can you research the ancient
Egyptian hieroglyphic alphabet
and write it out? Then create
your own and use it to write
your name.
Create a word search or
crossword about ancient Egypt.
Using the word Egypt, can you
create an acrostic poem?
List ten things that we would
not see in ancient Egypt and
why.
List ten things that we would
see in ancient Egypt and why.
Create a fact-file on a famous
ancient Egyptian, for example
Tutankhamun.
Create a map showing the key places
in ancient Egypt. How has the country
changed?
Imagine you were there when
Howard Carter discovered
Tutankhamen’s tomb. Write a diary
or news report about the event.
