Pucciatti (609) 581-9551 * BOHEME OPERA NJ FEATURES DELPHI CAROLERS * GROUNDS FOR SCULPTURE EAST GALLERY THIRD ANNUAL HOLIDAY EVENT Boheme Opera NJ shares a nostalgic holiday evening when it presents The Delphi Carolers, a costumed quartet who will bring their a cappella singing style to the Grounds For Sculpture East Gallery on Friday, December 12 at 7:00pm. The Boheme Opera Chorus is making a cameo appearance with Chorus Master Brittany Montoro. This is the third annual holiday event to be hosted by Boheme Opera NJ at the iconic sculpture venue. Christmas Memories of Bygone Years: A Good Ole-Fashioned Holiday in Carol and Song will feature traditional English carols, highlighting the King’s College sound and other wellknown settings. Some English-style titles to be performed include The Boar’s Head, Lo How a Rose, The Holly & The Ivy and Away in a Manger. Other carols offered will be American-based and jazz-inspired by such arrangers as Kirby Shaw and Alfred Burt, as well as Southern and folk styles, heard in such carols as Go Tell It on the Mountain and I Wonder as I Wander. Starring members of The Delphi Carolers are soprano Eve Edwards, who has performed extensively in the mid-Atlantic region in over forty leading roles of opera and oratorio; mezzosoprano Maja Lisa FritzHuspen, a busy performer in opera, oratorio and operetta in the Northeastern US; tenor Peter de Mets, who is active as a freelance composer, conductor and tenor soloist in the Central Jersey and Pennsylvania region; and bass Martin Hargrove, who has performed Opera, Musical Theater, and Concerts throughout the US, Europe, and Canada. Each singer will perform a solo carol accompanied at the GFS Petrof grand piano by BONJ Managing Director Sandra Milstein-Pucciatti. A holiday sing-a-long will close the program. The event is free with paid admission to Grounds For Sculpture and admission after 6pm is reduced to $6 pp. Payment is made in the Welcome Center, where the newly-opened Van Gogh Café offers French-inspired street food, coffee bar, craft beer and wine and will remain open until 7:45pm on December 12. For 25 consecutive seasons, Boheme Opera NJ has presented an amazing art form that has collectively touched the lives of thousands in Mercer County and surrounding regions.
