Biography Bradley smith tenor After graduating in music from St John’s College, Cambridge, Bradley went on to obtain distinction and a dip RAM for his Masters in Vocal Studies at the Royal Academy of Music, where he recently completed his training on the opera course with Ryland Davies and Audrey Hyland. Bradley is now studying with Gary Coward and was a finalist in the 2015 Pietro Cesti singing competition for baroque opera. Opera engagements include Bastien Bastien und Bastienne, Tamino Die Zauberflöte for Longborough Opera’s Young Artists’ Tour, Peter Quint The Turn of the Screw as a Young Artist for Opera Holland Park, The Scholar in Holst’s The Wandering Scholar, Buff The Impresario at the Edinburgh Festival and Nathaniel Walterson in the premiere of Pincher Martin by Oliver Rudland at the Britten Theatre, London. With Royal Academy Opera he sang Tom Rakewell The Rake’s Progress, Male Chorus The Rape of Lucretia, le Prince Charmant Massenet Cendrillon and le petit vieillard (Arithmétique) L’enfant et les sortileges with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Recent concert performances include the St John Passion (Arias) and Messiah with The Hanover Band; Britten Serenade for Tenor, horn and strings, Schumann Liederkreis Op. 39, the Aria soloist in Bach Christmas Oratorio and Handel Messiah at St John’s, Smith Square and a recital of Schubert Lieder at St Martin-in-the-Fields as well as soloist in a programme Purcell at the Cadogan Hall. Bradley’s plans include Trojan Man Idomeneo for Garsington Opera, Leilio in Cesti Le nozze in sogno in Innsbruck and Salzburg and Bach with Ex Cathedra plus performances of the Monteverdi Vespers, Handel Semele, Haydn Nelson Mass and Spohr The Last Judgement.
