The practice is situated on ground floor premises with disabled access. There is a small car park. Under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 ( The Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 Part 4), the registering body (The Windmill Medical Practice) is required to provide to the Care Quality Commission a statement of purpose. Our Aims and Objectives To provide high quality health care to our patient population to include consultations, examinations, screening and treatment of medical conditions To promote the prevention of disease by promoting health and wellbeing, offering care and advice to our patients To understand and meet the needs of our patients, involve them, their families and carers in decision making about their treatments and encourage them to participate fully To work in partnership with other agencies to prevent ill health as well as providing treatment and where appropriate involve other professionals in the care of our patients To constantly evaluate our services and implement changes as necessary to improve patient care Participate in local initiatives working closely with our Network colleagues to improve the wellbeing of our population To encourage our patients to communicate with us by joining our patient group, either virtually or by attending meetings, participating in surveys as well as giving us feedback on the services we offer To ensure all members of our team have the right skills and training to carry out their duties competently and with confidence The regulated activities under CQC are: Treatment of disease, disorder or injury Diagnostic and screening procedures The services provided by The Windmill Medical Practice include: Routine medical checks and general medical services, NHS relevant prescriptions and medications or a private prescription can be issued. 24hr BP monitoring Antenatal care Cervical Cytology Chronic disease monitoring Diabetes monitoring ECG monitoring Family Planning Services Foreign travel advice and immunisation General nursing – ear syringing, dressings etc Immunisations INR monitoring Lifestyle management Phlebotomy Private medicals Smoking Cessation Spirometry and lung function testing Well Baby Clinic Well Person Checks Our practice strives towards a partnership between patients and health professionals based on the following key facts: Mutual Respect We endeavour to treat all our patients with dignity, respect and honesty.
